A, Trade Compliance Specialist
Main roles & responsibilities:
Support business units with operational customs export and import transactions. Advise on classification, origin and valuation matters for international shipments. Ensure export/import transactions are supported with correct documentation and compliant dataset. Liaise between business units and customs brokers and/or customs authorities to secure compliant import and export entries.
This position reports into the Regional Operations Leaders. This role needs to interact and collaborate with cross-functional colleagues (engineers, finance, legal, logistics, etc.).
Requirements toward the candidates:
- Bachelor degree at Trade Compliance & related field,
- Customs broker licence or similar certification,
- Work experience in trade operations: customs operations; export/import activities; documentation; customs brokers and freight forwarder management.
B, Customs and Export Control Classification Specialist
Define customs classification code for components, products, tooling, and equipment by partnering with engineering and procurement teams. Define export control classification code for components, products, tooling, equipment as well as for services for applicable jurisdictions. Collect and retain relevant information for future audit purposes.
Requirements toward the candidates:
- Bachelor degree at Trade Compliance & related field,
- Experience identifying tariff classifications in accordance with the Harmonized Tariff System.
- Knowledge of export control classification
- Experience with tariff rulings or binding tariff information application.
C, Manager Classification
Requirements toward the candidates:
- Bachelor’s degree in Trade Compliance or related field.
- Experience identifying tariff classifications in accordance with Harmonized tariff system; knowledge of export control classification.
- Experience with tariff rulings or binding tariff information application
- Proven ability to build and lead an international team.
- AREA of expertise: Classification; Rulings & binding tariff rules; export control classification; project management.
D, Trade Compliance Initiative Leader
Orchestrate the company’s transition to a digitized trade compliance platform. Manage and guide stakeholders through integration stages globally across business units and cross functions. Drive standardization efforts and support documentation of local/country level specifics. Engage with external stakeholders to identify best in class trade compliance solutions and processes.
This role will lead and supervise the global project leader and the digitization and data specialist’s role; manage stakeholders across the company to drive change and execution.
Requirements toward the candidates:
- Bachelor’s degree in Trade Compliance or related field.
- Strong project and stakeholder management skills.
- Excellent communicator (written and spoken).
- Passion for digitization.
- Experience: Project management; Trade and customs control; remote and matrix management.
E, Trade Compliance Auditor
Ensure compliance with applicable global and country level trade and customs rules and regulations. Execute risk based global trade and customs monitoring program. Address audit findings with corrective and preventive measures. Support development of corporate strategies for export, import and trade compliance. Analyze and monitor trade compliance processes, drive continuous development cycle and standardization across the company. Establish and maintain trade compliance policies and work instructions; review and actualize operations processes. Support external audits of government bodies and applicable quality initiatives; engage with and set expectations toward external service providers. Monitor applicable legal framework and translate to actions.
Requirements toward the candidates:
- Bachelor’s degree at Trade Compliance & related field.
- Customs advisor certification (EU); Customs broker license or similar certification
- ‘5+ years of experience in Import & Export operations
- Global / multinational mindset and awareness
- Solid experience with trusted trader programs (AEO, C-TPAT)
- AREAS of Expertise: Audit and self-assessment, Trade and customs principles, Risk management, Policy and SOP creation, Trusted trader program, governance.
